The Bills are completing a trade for Steelers WR Antonio Brown.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Buffalo Bills will acquire Antonio Brown as the team had been in search of a number one wide receiver.

Brown, who had requested a trade on multiple occasions, will join a Bills receiving core that last year was 31st in the NFL in receiving yards.

The nine-year wideout has six-consecutive seasons of at least 100 catches, an NFL record and has amassed 9,145 yards receiving during that span.

The four-time All-Pro instantly upgrades a Bills offense that only had 13 receiving touchdowns last season.

Brown, last year had 15 touchdown receptions, a career high.

Last year the Bills leading receiver was Zay Jones, the second year receiver out of ECU.

He had 652 yards on 56 receptions with 7 touchdowns last season. Brown will join him on the Bills revamped WR core.

Second year QB Josh Allen, who led the Bills in rushing last season, will be Brown’s new signal caller.

In what will be a significant downgrade at the QB position from Ben Roethlisberger, Brown will have to adjust to the erratic throwing style of Allen.

Last season, Allen had the worst competition percentage in the NFL at just 52.8%.

Known as one of the best wide receivers in the NFL, Brown will have to adjust to the inaccurate Allen to provide impact on the Bills offense.

Teams that reportedly had been in the running to acquire Brown were said to be the Raiders, Titans, and Redskins.

The Bills though quietly jumped into the AB sweepstakes to acquire the seven-time pro-bowler in surprising fashion.

The trade for Brown, once completed, will not become official until the new league year starts next week.
